Questions about advertising
What a box costs, what it reaches, and the one thing it will never do.
Can I pay to have a car appear higher?
No. The order of every list on this site is set by rules printed on the page it appears on, and not one of those rules is money. /search prints all three of its own, at the foot of the results.
Will the box look like a listing?
It cannot. Every box carries a label across the top naming who paid for it, is drawn at radius 4 with a grey rule — not the radius-12 card a record uses — and never appears inside a result list.
Do you use an ad network?
No. There are no third-party networks, no trackers and no auctions. A box is sold to one advertiser for one month, and the only figure we publish about you is the one on the invoice.
Can I target one visitor?
No. We do not know who a visitor is and do not ask. A box shows to everybody on the route, the same as the listings around it — the index hands one page to everybody.
Where do the view figures come from?
Our own server logs, published monthly per route — the same figures the audience section of this page prints. No third-party counter sits between them and you.
What is the least I can spend?
£1,200 — one month of slot 04, the collection endorsement. It is the smallest and the dearest per view, because it sits closest to a decision.
