What the index is, what it is not, and what it costs.

Help centre

How often is the index refreshed?

Every hour, on the hour. Each listing is re-checked against its source and anything sold or withdrawn is removed the same hour. The time of the last refresh is in the top strip.

Do you sell cars?

No. Indexa is an index, not a dealership — we find and verify listings from dealers and private sellers across the UK, then send you to the seller to buy.

What does “checked” mean?

Every listing is matched against the seller's own feed and re-verified on each refresh: price, mileage, specs and availability. Anything that fails is dropped from the index, not left to waste your time.

Is it free?

Yes — searching, filtering and setting alerts on the index is free for buyers. Dealers pay to syndicate their stock into it.

How is “under market” worked out?

Each car is compared against the indexed prices of the same make, model, generation, trim and mileage band. A listing is flagged under market when it sits clearly below that band's median.

Can I be told when a car is listed?

Yes — save a search (make, model, budget, postcode radius) and we'll email you within the hour that a matching listing is verified into the index.
